Gregory Donald Stemen, age 63, of Worthington, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012.

Greg was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Worthington High School, The Ohio State University (B.S.), Michigan State (Masters) and Ohio University (PhD). Greg’s career work was in Broadcasting and Marketing Research. Greg was a proud member of The Ohio State University Alumni Marching Band. He was a member of the Dublin Presbyterian Church.

Gregory was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Stemen; infant brother, Jeffrey Kyle Stemen; and grandparents. He is survived by his loving mother, Eileen Stemen; brother, Ron Stemen; aunts and uncles, Carl (Peg) Stemen, Dean (Wanda) Scholl, and Lelia Morehead; and numerous cousins.

Friends may call from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel 6699 N High St., Worthington, OH 43085, where the funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Interment will take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday at Grandview Cemetery in Bremen, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gregory’s memory may be made to the TBDBITL Script Ohio Fund # 309538, The Alumni Band Assoc., or charity of choice. The family of Greg would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff and friends at The Laurels of Worthington for their dedicated care and support over many years.

Greg played efer in X-Row as a member of the marching band from 1967 through 1970. In the 1970s he served as treasurer of TBDBITL Alumni Club and pre-registration chairman for the annual reunion. He also performed regularly with the Active Band.
