Kenneth J. Hughes

July 22, 1943 - August 27, 2021

Memorial service for Kenneth J. Hughes, age 78, will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Grace Episcopal Church, 36200 Ridge Rd, Willoughby (outdoor service please follow signs). Family will greet friends an hour prior to service.

Ken was born on July 22, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Katherine (nee Morris) Hughes and passed away on August 27, 2021.

Kenneth was a graduate of the Ohio State University and taught Trumpet and Euphonium at Willoughby Fine Arts Association for many years. He volunteered for the Lakeland Community College’s; Lakeland Civic Orchestra and was active in many other civic bands and orchestras around the community.

Ken was a father, grandfather, companion, and friend of many. He will be missed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, 36200 Ridge Rd, Willoughby, Ohio 44094 or to The Fine Arts Association, 38660 Mentor Ave. Willoughby, OH 44094. Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home of Eastlake is handling arrangements.

Ken was a member of the marching band in 1961. He played Sousaphone in K-Row.
