Devon Edmond Kesling

Devon Edmond Kesling, age 76, of Cambridge, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at OSU East Hospital. “Deve” was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a Retired Insurance Broker. A graduate of The Ohio State University where he was a drum major from 1947-1948. Member of the Sphinx Honor Society and past President of the Lions Club. Survived by wife, Annette; sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Tami Kesling, Knoxville, Tennesee, David and Glenda Kesling, Lexington, Kentucky; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Jascha Silberstein; grandchildren, Benjamin, Allison and Melissa; brothers, Keith (Mary) Kesling and Paul Kesling; sister, Barbara Sharp.

Deve was a member of the marching band in 1943, and from 1946 through 1949. He served as Drum major in 1947 and 1948. In 1980 he received the Elvin Donalson Award.
