Norbert Pschibul
August 6, 1964 - August 4, 2023
Norbert Pschibul, beloved son, uncle, brother, and business proprietor, died unexpectedly Friday August 4th 2023 at Mt. Carmel East in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by family. Norbert Pschibul was born on August 6th 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to parents Ingeborg and Werner Pschibul. His earliest memories revolve around the precious and fun times he had as a child with family and friends on Jonsol court in Gahanna. Norbert had an early interest in music and began learning the trumpet in elementary school. His passion for band, the trumpet, and music carried on throughout his entire life. His lifelong endeavors with music brought him immense joy and lifelong friendships. He thoroughly enjoyed being part of Gahanna Lincoln High School Band and being selected to be part of the Best Damn Band in the Land at The Ohio State University where he attended in early adulthood.
Norbert went on to become owner and operator of the family business The Watch Shop and ran the store for over twenty five years, becoming a staple of the Gahanna small business community and the fabric of the Hunter's Ridge neighborhood.
Norbert was a lifelong parishioner of St. Matthew's Church and a dedicated member of the Catholic faith. Norbert held an annual Watch Shop Golf Outing that raised funds for St. Matthew's Charitable Works Committee, was a fun-loving teacher of 7th grade catechism for the Parish School of Religion, and a friendly usher at Sunday mass.
Norbert was an incredibly devoted uncle, son, and brother. His family was always his first priority. His smile, sense of humor, comical nature, and endless kindness will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sister Ramona, and brothers Roland and Michael, nieces Alexandria, Michaella, Rachel and Renee, many beloved extended family members and countless friends. The family would like to acknowledge B.B. whose generosity helped extend Norbert's life.
The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, August 10 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 12 at 9:15 AM at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.

Norbert was a member of the marching band from 1982 through 1984. He played Trumpet.
